On this wet night its good to be reminded of the sunny Sundays that the Under 15 boys and parents got up, out and played good cricket to achieve promotion to the premiership with great team and individual performances.

Kings Heath lost the toss and were put into bat in difficult conditions. Openers Tom Salliss (40 runs from 54 balls) and Josh Baker (68 runs from 59 balls) put on a partnership of 89 before Tom was bowled by the first ball that stayed low all morning - just pitching and dying before hitting the stumps. Under 14 Umar Rehman also contributed 18 to the team total, as Kings Heath finished on 146 for 6 from 25 overs.

This was a decent total to defend, but unfortunately due to a combination of poor bowling, poor fielding and strong batting, Kenilworth managed to knock off the total in 18 overs. A disappointing result.
