Buy a Brick
Plans are in the final stages for the erection of a new building to become our new electronic score board and storage facility. The committee have been working tirelessly getting quotes, arranging planning permission and submitting funding applications. The project will cost in the region of 20k but will be an investment that leaves a legacy for the club. We need your help in ensuring this facility is erected ASAP, hence Buy a Brick. In the near future there will be options to buy a brick for the facility and become part of the legacy. The options will be:
£10 to buy a brick and get your name engraved on the role of honour who contributed
£100 to have your name on an outer brick to ensure you stay part of the legacy
Further details to come soon
Selection
Please update your availability on clubhouse ASAP for selection that happened on Tuesday nights. As of next week there will be selection for Saturday 1st, 2nd, 3rd andSunday 1st, 2nd.
I am taking the captaincy of the Sunday 1st team for the first half of the season then Louie Turpie will take over. Amit has taken Captaincy of the Sunday 2nd team. We have all had a discussion and want to progress the Sunday cricket this year to take a more professional attitude and approach to ensure the younger lads who are coming through the junior ranks get a real experience of what senior cricket is all about and learn from more experienced players. Therefore I would ask you to make yourself available and express an interest if you are keen to play, as six week of the year we will have two Sunday teams to fulfil.
Also if there are parents of members of the club who are keen to score for the Sunday teams or make a mean cricket tea then please contact me on 07836360442.
