Under 10s vs Knowle & Dorridge (a), 26/07/12

Match against Knowle & Dorridge played on Thursday, 26 July 2012 at Knowle and Dorridge against Kings Heath Boys.

Knowle and Dorridge won 250 against Kings Heath 230.

It was a very good match and all the boys and girl from both teams played very well and to their individual strengths.

Dear all,
as you know, on Sunday we are having a charity fun day in memory of our deceased friend and last year's Under 10s Captain, Kabir Kalsi. We would like you all to come along and bring your friends and families.
There will be programmes on sale for £1 and all purchasers of a programme will receive one free drink in the clubhouse on presentation of the programme.

The programme of events for the day is

1.30 -2.30 Kings Heath U11s Sponsored Bowling (in the nets)

3pm: Kings Heath U11s v Weoley Hill and Kings Norton U11s

3 pm Barbecue starts

Items for Auction include a framed Warwickshire cricket shirt signed by the current Pro 40 squad, a subscription to Spin magazine and a crate of real ale.

5 - 15pm: Kings Heath Coaches v Kings Heath Dads

Bowls – head for the bowling green

Refreshments will be served all day.Do come and join in the fun. The only excuse is if your playing in the Sunday team or competing in the Olympics

Under 11s vs Kings Norton & Weoley Hill (h)

At home to Weoley Hill and Kings Norton U11s in the Warwickshire Elevens League.
 
Weoley Hill & Kings Norton 45 for 8 off 20 overs.
Kings Heath 46 without loss off 8 overs. Danial Bird 22 Hugh McIlvaney 10 Extras 14. Kings Heath win by 8 wickets.
 
This was our first 11 a side game and there were great performances all round from the boys, especially those playing their first competitive game this season.
 
Ajay Parmar, Hammad Malik and Navdeep Bhooie all bowled wicket maidens, Joe Kamara and Ben Schroff also bowled maidens, there was excellent fielding leading to 2 run outs and Hugh made a great catch. Ajay was the pick of the bowlers with two wickets for one run and he also took a catch off Mohammed's bowling.
