U13 v Attock, 15/06/09
Following the unhappy washout and abandonment of this game on Thursday 10th June it was rapidly rearranged to meet again on the 'play by' deadline for Monday 15th at Attock.Although a major downpour in South Birmingham nearly put a kibosh on the fixture for a second time, the Attock Manager managed to get the game on. The sun intermittently broke
through the clouds and Attock won the toss and chose to bat.Saturday, June 13, 2009

U13 v Moseley Ashfield, 04/06/09
On an increasingly gloomy evening the local derby was played out in good spirit. Moseley Ashfield captain Tom Colsby won the toss and chose to bowl.
Kings Heath opener Josh Baker strode out to the wicket and immediately picked up from his last two high scoring innings. He received intermittent support as he headed for an assured 53 before being caught. Callum Bird, Rashurd Ali and Hassan Farooq all contributed double figures as Kings Heath progressed to a commendable 133 from 20 overs.
Then came the Kings Heath Bowlers! Rashurd and Louie Turpie delivered a fast and accurate eight over attack. Rash achieved three maidens and gave only one run in his fourth over. At the other end Louie Turpie took the Moseley Ashfield opening batsmen LBW and bowled respectively. Naweed Uddin, Callum Bird and Pardeep Ruprai followed up with brilliant medium and slow bowling to pin the batsmen down and take wickets regularly. They were backed up by energetic and committed fielding all round with the whole team focused on keeping it tight.
Moseley Ashfield were all out for 56 after 17.4 overs and Kings Heath won by 77 runs.

U13 v Atherstone (away) Cup, 31/05/09
Atherstone 154 for 2
Atherstone chose to bat and immediately went on the offensive with 3 out of their 4 openers retiring for 30. Rashurd Ali picked up the only wicket. A total of 154 was posted on this very warm day on the artificial wicket.
Kings Heath 142 for 5
Umar and Josh opened for Kings Heath knowing they had to reach their top score of the season. Both batsmen hit out and retired for 30 each. Ben Rattley came in at number 3 and stayed at the crease until the last over and also reached 30. Rashurd batted well to reach 25. The target was just too high and with the Atherstone fielders playing well on the boundaries the figure of 142 was achieved.
Atherstone go through to the next round.
